Lara Goodband is an independent art curator specialising in contemporary art exhibitions, public art and artistic interventions in museum collections.  Lara works with many local authority art galleries and museums including Bradford, Harrogate, Hull and Scarborough to curate exhibitions from their collections and to initiate new work and displays by contemporary artists.  She also set-up Sea Swim: A Cultural Olympiad project and is curator of Sea Swim’s touring exhibition Head Above Water.  As a Research Associate in the Department of Archaeology at the University of York, she works with Hazel Colquhoun leading cross-disciplinary seminars and workshops based on York Curiouser’s curatorial approach.
